“Innocence” is my latest painting.  It is an 11x17 acrylic on panel.  The little girl in this painting is innocent of the fact that society may not find her appearance acceptable and regardless of the transformation that she may make to try to please society that it is in vain. She has to learn that what she is…..is what she is and she should accept the fact that she is truly beautiful just as she is. She does not need to do things like straighten her hair or anything else to change her appearance to receive society’s approval.
